광각렌즈이면서 밝은 조리개값으로
내가 가장 좋아하는 렌즈다.
캐논에는 이사벨이 있고 니콘에도 24.4가 있지만
소니에는 없다.
소니는 주로 f2로 출시.
그래서 이 광각렌즈는 현재 소니 유저들에게 엄청난 환영을 받고
또 가격이 어떨지 모르지만 캐논, 니콘 렌즈의 가격이 거의 200만원이 넘어가니
100만원대 초반만 나오더라도 꽤나 성공할 것 같다.
하지만 요즘 시그마의 아트렌즈들이 워낙 비싸다.
싸구마라고 불리우던건 옛날 얘기다.
아트렌즈가 나오면서 완전히 바뀌었다.
그만큼 화질면에서나 성능면에서 인정받고 있다.

24mm f1.4 DG HSM 렌즈는 기존 아트 렌즈들의 만듦새를 유지하고
9날 조리개, 최소 초점거리는 24.9cm다.
필터 구경은 77미리.
그러고보니 그 옛날 광각 쪽에 마크로 겸용의 밝은 1.8 조리개의 단렌즈들을
시그마는 출시한 적이 있다.
당시 그 렌즈들의 느낌은 매우 독특했고 광각 접사가 정말 멋졌다.
그러니 이번 것은 그 옛날 20.8, 24.8, 28.8 렌즈의 아트급이라고 할 수 있겠다.
당시에는 렌즈가 수차나 플레어가 심했었고 그것도 멋있어서 좋아했었는데
얼마나 업그레이드디어 나올지 기대가 크다.
렌즈 광학부는 11군 15매 렌즈로 이루어져 있으며
비구면 광학계와 초저분산 렌즈 2매를 포함한다.
광각 최대 개방에서의 성능이 상당히 좋을 것이라고 예상하고
왜곡, 수차 및 플레어가 억제될 것으로 예상되고 있다.
올해 가장 기대되는 렌즈
시그마의 24mm f1.4 DG HSM.

We bid an enthusiastic welcome to the latest member of Sigma's excellent line of fast prime lenses, the 24mm f1.4 DG HSM. Designed for full-frame cameras -- Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts, at least to start -- and with an effective focal length of about 38mm on APS-C bodies, this lens looks like it might just be a must-have for the wide-angle lover in you.
Of course, price significantly impacts the appeal of a lens; unfortunately, Sigma has released no information on that front yet. Nor do we know availability. The 35mm f1.4 is $900 and the 50mm f1.4 $950, so it's probably up there somewhere.
The lens shares the same build quality as the other Art series models, including a 9-rounded-blade aperture. It will be able to focus as close as 9.8 in/24.9 cm. It has 15 elements in 11 groups, with rear aspherical elements, and two types of low-dispersion glass. Bottom line: Sigma claims excellent wide-open performance and little distortion, aberration and flare.
