Atomos and Panasonic confirm RAW 4K 4:4:4 could come on the GH4 via firmware upgrade!
A month ago I told you that a trusted sources said Panasonic would add 4K RAW recording on external devices on a future GH4 firmware upgrade. Well, our source was right as this has been confirmed by two companies:
1) Atomos confirmed via Twitter that they will update their Atomos Shogun (Here at BH) to record 4K 444.
2) Panasonic said raw output from the GH4 could come with a future firmware upgrade as soon as external recorders will allow this (Source: EosHD).
